Copenhagen Business Academy, also known as Cphbusiness, is a school of higher education in Copenhagen, Denmark. The academy is an independent self-owning institution subordinated to the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education. Degree programmes offerered are mainly applied degrees, especially in business, finance, service management, IT and biotechnical science. The academy grants undergraduate and academic degrees but not masters or doctoral degrees. In addition to full-time studies the academy offers supplemental education, part-time programmes at bachelors level and short-term courses for people who need to strengthen their qualifications. The academy is one of the largest business academies in Denmark. The academy has 4.800 full-time students and 5.800 part-time students and about 350 employees. Copenhagen Business Academy was founded in 2009 and initially offered higher education programmes in cooperation with Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, Copenhagen North, Copenhagen Hospitality College and the Academy of Chemical and Biotechnical Science. In August 2012, these higher education programmes were officially transferred from the four schools to the administration of Copenhagen Business Academy Academy Profession Degree Programme  such as Computer Science  Information & Communication Technology  ,Marketing Management Multimedia Design and Communication Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management, Bachelors degrees Innovation and Entrepreneurship, International Hospitality Management ,International Sales and Marketing Management ,Software Development ,Sport Management ,Web Development . At Cphbusiness, all major R&D activities are described as development projects, and they are implemented through close cooperation between students, the industries and other knowledge institutions. In 2014, a total of 1,255 students and 237 companies were involved in Cphbusiness development projects. - support the development, competitiveness and growth in both the Danish and the international business community. - ensure that the academy’s study programmes are built on the latest knowledge about the practices of the current professions and industries. The primary focus of the development projects is the identification of needs in relation to the labour market’s needs, thus ensuring that we always educate our students within the latest knowledge and the skills demanded by the business community within the individual subject areas. In that way, the R&D activities on Cphbusiness support the academy’s strategic goal of offering practical education by being close to the industries and professions that the business academy’s study programmes target. The total project portfolio covers all Cphbusiness’ subject areas and focuses on issues such as service innovation in tourism, the future financial market, the retailers’ challenges in a digital age and the EU’s chemicals legislation
