The Case School of Dental
Medicine (CSDM) is a private dental graduate school of Case Western Reserve University, USA and is located in Cleveland, Ohio. The mission of the school is to produce quality practitioners of
dentistry with its outstanding training programs that provide students with
oral health education, good patient care and research. It was established in 1892 as the Dental Department of Western Reserve University and since then, it underwent many changes and finally named as School of Dental
Medicine in 2003. It is a high ranking school in the country for undergraduate dental studies. Admission into the school is very competitive. it receives over 3000 applications every year out of which 300 are shortlisted for interview to fill 70 available seats. In most recent admission, students of the school scored an average GPA of 3.81 and DAT score of 20. Along with Doctor of
Medicine (DMD) degree, the school offers training in five other programs that include: a five year dual degree (MD-DMD) in Oral and Maxillofacial
Surgery and four masters degree programs (M.S.D.) in Endodontics, Periodontics, Orthodontics, and Pediatrics. Over 4,900 graduates have been conferred with degrees from the school till now.
