Carleton University was founded in 1942 in capital city of Canada, Ottawa of Ontario province. It is surrounded by beautiful Rideau river and high tech companies. The University is attracting students from all Canadian provinces and international students from over 100 countries. It is providing 65 academic programs in various disciplines and comprising of 2,000 professors and 27,000 students. It is one of the largest employers of Ottawa contributing major share to the city’s economy. The University is known for its standards in delivering education in various subjects that include: Humanities, Engineering, International Business , Political Science, International Affairs, Journalism, Public Policy and Administration, and Legal Studies. The University’s faculty and alumni include three noble laureates and founders of various high tech companies. ‘BigBlueButton’ project was developed at Carleton which is in use worldwide. The project helps to deliver quality education to the students who belong to remote areas. Carleton is currently working on 850 research projects for the benefit of Canadian community and people across the world. During 2013-14, Carleton was ranked 276-300 by Times Higher Education Supplement and 401-500 by Academic Ranking of World Universities.
