earlier known as The Australian Centre for Sustainable Catchments (ACSC), The International Centre for Applied
Climate Science (ICACS) is regarded as a world leader in ambiance science and agricultural applications. ICACS integrates and combines research and development in
climate and meteorological science with agriculture, ecology, engineering,
remote sensing and surveying, hydrological modelling, economic modelling, and rural research. Since our establishment as a research centre in 2005, our nucleus
business has evolved into integrating
climate models into catchment/water and agricultural systems as well as integrating GIS/remote sensing along with
climate modelling into agricultural and water-catchment systems. We also provide national headship in ecological research at a catchment scale with strong reinforcement science capabilities in the field, which is unique from any other agency in Australia. Our research has appeared in many publications, including world-class scientific and technical journals.
