Arnold A. Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies (SIWPS) is a part of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs in New York. It was established in 1951 by the President of Columbia Dwight D Eisenhower. His goal has been that associates would involve in research, which would notify their teaching in other university branches and schools, and that teaching would likewise advantage the research in return. The organization would become the only non-area-specializing one within the School of International Affairs (later the School of International and Public Affairs).The institute includes "the dogmatic, soldierly, historic, lawful, financial, ethical, emotional, and theoretical dimensions of international relationships.
