Anna University was established in the year 1978 on September 04 as a unitary type of University. It offers Higher
education in Engineering and Technology and allied Sciences.
Since December 2001, this has become a large, highly renowned Affiliated University to which about 426 self financing engineering colleges.
Anna University is one of the Association member of the Indian Universities. Association of Commonwealth Universities and partner of UNESCO.
