Angelo State University was established in 1928, by Dr. Brian J. May, situated at San Angelo, Th center of a West Texas community. There are more than 100 major programs which lead to 43 undergraduate and 20 master’s degree and one doctoral degree.
The area of the campus is about 268 acres with six thousand five hundred and thirty six students on board in various departments taught by three hundred thirty two faculty members. There are more than 100 student organizations in the University.
Angelo University is one of the best Universities rated along with 378 colleges. This university was recognizes. The Best College for B Students for 2010-2011.
Students from all over USA and many parts of the country attract to this college for their graduation and undergraduate programs. The student to faculty ratio is about 20:1. The University is also concentrated on sports as in Athletic aspects.
The University was also given the designation of Hispanic Serving Institution by the U.S department of Education.
