Zhongzhen Nie, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Cell Biology and Biophysics, where he administers research grants in membrane and cytoskeletal dynamics. Prior to joining NIGMS, he was an assistant professor in the department of urology at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Nie earned a bachelor of medicine from Wannan Medical College in China and a Ph.D. in molecular pharmacology from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, where he also conducted postdoctoral research prior to a research fellowship in the NCI Laboratory of Cellular Oncology.
