Biography

Dr. Anderson received his medical, clinical, and epidemiological training at Tulane University in New Orleans Louisiana. He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology, and medical oncology. After nearly 20 years as a community-based hematologist/medical oncologist in northeast Louisiana, he joined the NCI to develop a research program in cancer surveillance research with a special interest in breast cancer.

age-period-cohort models; spline-based survival models; incidence-based mortality; cancer trends, heterogeneity, racial and geographic disparities in population-based cancer registries
