Biography

Vernon Anderson, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry. Anderson administers grants in the areas of bioinorganic chemistry, redox enzymology, mitochondrial electron transport and other aspects of bioenergetics. Before joining NIGMS, he served as a professor of biochemistry and chemistry at Case Western Reserve University. He earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Anderson conducted postdoctoral research at Cornell University.
