Biography

Vijay obtained his MSc and PhD (Molecular Biology and Biotechnology) from Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi, India. He joined CCMB in 1998.

Research Intrest

To isolate and characterize Tissue specific and Conditional promoters from Arabidopsis in order to facilitate Crop improvement through Biotechnological means. To explore if Auxin plays a role in the early development of female gametophyte in Arabidopsis.
