He is qualified at doctoral level in applied biotechnology. He completed his postdoctoral training in infectious disease and molecular medicine at the University of Cape Town prior to joining the CSIR.
Tsekoa’s research focuses on developing production processes for biologics manufacture at bench and pilot scale. He pursues an applied research programme in the combined fields of applied biochemistry, enzymology and structural biology, and their application to biomanufacturing problems.
