Biography

Ms. Gusti Ayu Ketut Surtiari holds a Bachelor in Human Geography and a Master in Population studies from Gadjah Mada University (Indonesia). She is working as a researcher in the Human Ecology Division at Research Centre for Population, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI). She is interested in population and environmental issues. Ms. Surtiari began her research on disaster preparedness in 2008 and disaster risk reduction efforts contributing to climate change in South Bengkulu and North Jakarta (2010). Since 2010, she has been doing research on vulnerability assessment and climate change adaptation in some urban and coastal areas (North Jakarta, Semarang City, Bone Bay, South Sulawesi, Indramayu-West Java).
