Stylianos Kazadzis has 16 years of experience on basic and applied research on Atmospheric Physics and Atmospheric Chemistry. From 1989 – 2000 he has studied (Ba in Physics, MSc in Environmental Physics and PhD in Atmospheric Physics) at the Physics Department, Laboratory of Atmospheric Physics, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (LAP-AUTH), Greece. From 2000-2007 he has been working as a Post-doc researcher at the LAP-AUTH, the Geology Department of the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens and as a visitor Researcher the European Joint Research Center at Ispra, Italy. From 2007-2009 he has received the EU-Marie Curie post doctoral (IEF) scholarship and worked at the Remote Sensing Group/Climate Change Unit of the Finnish Meteorological Institute, Helsinki, Finland. In 2009 he received the position of the Associate Researcher at the Institute of Environmental Research and Sustainable Development of the National Observatory of Athens, Greece and he has received a European Return Marie Curie Grant (2010-2012) as a fellow and a Marie Curie IEF as a supervisor (2012-2014). In 2014 he has promoted at the position of the Senior Researcher at the Institute of Environmental Research and Sustainable Development of the National Observatory of Athens. In 2015 he got the position of Senior Researcher, Leader of the World aerosol Optical depth Research and Calibration Center at the Physicalisch Meteorologisches Observatorium Davos, World Radiation Center. He is member of the Scientific Advisory Group of WMO for Aerosols. He has 76 accepted publications in peer reviewed scientific journals and more than 110 accepted publications in conference proceedings. Since 2000, SK has participated (under contract) in 25 European funded and 7 national (Greek) projects. He is a member of the editorial board of the Atmospheric Chemistry and Physics journal and has been a member of the supervising committee of various MSc and 7 PhD students working on aerosol, solar radiation and satellite remote sensing, related research. He has been an active reviewer in more than 15 scientific Journals. Â
