Sally Jackson is GSK’s senior vice-president, office of the CEO and CFO. She joined the company in 2001 and previously led the investor-relations team. She graduated with a first-class degree in natural sciences from the University of Cambridge in 1997.
Sally Jackson's group also works on specific projects. I’m currently co-leading the team focussed on implementation planning for the proposed new deal with Novartis [the two pharmaceutical groups are trading assets], which is complex as it involves moving data, systems, products, and thousands of people. Having been in this job for 10 months, I feel I’m in a completely different place now – I’m more confident when it comes to deciding where I should channel efforts and when to let go.
