Rodrigo Vianna is the Director of the Miami Transplant Institute since January 2013. Prior to this, he has been the Director of Intestinal/Multivisceral transplant at Indiana University, USA. He continued to perform a large number of liver transplants and to take care of these patients and had the opportunity to present his experiences with intestinal and multivisceral transplantation at many other centers including Oxford University in England, The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. He has coached the transplant team in Leuven, Belgium to perform their first multivisceral transplant in a patient with portomesenteric thrombosis.
