Biography

Robert "Bob" Lees, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Pharmacology, Physiology, and Biological Chemistry, where he manages grants in synthetic organic chemistry. Prior to joining NIGMS, he was a program director in the Developmental Therapeutics Program in the Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis at the National Cancer Institute. Lees earned a B.S. in chemistry from Duke University and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Stanford University. He conducted postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
