Benjamin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economic Analysis and a Master’s degree in Quantitative Analysis and Research in Economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. In September 2017, he will hold a Postmaster's in Quantitative Analysis for Social Sciences from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), Belgium. Since joining CRED in October 2016, he has been involved in analyzing different datasets, mainly working on the Syrian conflict (mortality assessment, chemical attacks, Syrian refugee’s health situation). He is also applying Distributed Lag Non-linear Models (DLNM) to assess the impact of heat waves on mortality in Belgium.
