Pierre Cartigny is a Researcher in the department of Stable isotope geochemistry at the institute of physcics of Globe of Paris

Research Intrest

My research work concentrates on the cycle of volatile elements (C, N, S, H) deeply through the study of diamonds and basaltic glasses. Topics covered include the origin of the variability of volatiles in the earth's mantle, the flow of volatiles degassed to wrinkles and recycled in the mantle, the origin of terrestrial volatiles etc ... In collaboration with many colleagues, my work now beyond the study of Archean and Proterozoic paleo-environments and the study conditions to produce abnormal isotope fractionation (ie so-called splits independent mass )
