Biography

Peter Lyster, Ph.D., is a program director in the Division of Biomedical Technology, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology, where he manages grants in biological modeling and bioinformatics. He also plays an active role in the NIH Biomedical Information Science and Technology Initiative. Prior to joining NIGMS, Lyster was a program director at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, NIH. He earned a B.S. in theoretical physics and electrical engineering from Adelaide University and a Ph.D. in applied physics from Cornell University. Lyster conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Texas at Austin.
