Musyoka holds a PhD in chemistry from the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He joined the CSIR in 2013 as a postdoctoral fellow, and was appointed as a senior researcher in energy materials research in 2015. His research background is in materials synthesis, characterisation and testing for various applications. Musyoka is a registered professional natural scientist (Pr.Nat.Sci.). He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed papers.

Musyoka’s research interests lie in the field of sustainable clean energy technologies with a special focus on hydrogen research.
