Biography

Lukas Leopold Negrin enrolled human medicine at the Medical University of Vienna in 2003 where he graduated in 2009. Soon after, he started as a resident at the Medical University of Trauma Surgery in Vienna, where he still works today. He is a member of the outpatient clinics „sports traumatology“ and „pediatric traumatology“ and the work group „polytrauma“; furthermore he is involved in education and training of the students. Already during his studies LL Negrin tried to acquire additional qualifications in trauma surgery by volunteering in two Viennese hospitals, by completing clinical traineeships in Louisville (USA), Stuttgart (Germany) and Londonderry (Northern Ireland) and by attending surgery courses. In order to provide the best medical care for his patients LL Negrin dedicates himself to research, focusing on cartilage repair, acetabular fractures, pulmonary complications of polytraumatized patients and ruptures of the knee extensor mechanism.
