Michael Imburgia, M.D., F.A.C.C. is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, adult echocardiography and cardiac nuclear medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. A 1983 graduate of the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Dr. Imburgia completed his internship, residency and fellowship training in internal medicine and cardiology at Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis in 1988. Dr. Imburgia is the Medical Director of the Outpatient Cardiovascular Ultrasound Lab at Baptist Health Louisville. Dr. Imburgia is actively involved in ongoing research and is a certified clinical principal investigator for the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Dr. Imburgia is the founder of the Have a Heart Foundation in Louisville, a clinic involved in providing cardiovascular care to the indigent.
