Crampton has 13 years of experience in the field of cellular and molecular biology. He initially worked on bacterial expression strain development for the display and production of peptides and proteins linked to bioremediation – the removal or inactivation of environmental contaminants using an organism – and therapeutics production. In 2011, he was appointed research group leader for the CSIR’s lead development group in biomanufacturing technologies. Currently, Crampton develops and leads laboratory manufacturing processes for various industrial, veterinary and therapeutic biologicals. He is also the principal investigator directing the veterinary biologicals product and platform portfolio.
