Izet Masic was born on 1952 in Gracanica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from Primary school in Gracanica in 1967, Grammar school (Gymnasium) in Gracanica in 1971 and Medical faculty in Sarajevo in 1976. He notified his medical diploma at Medical faculty in Innsbruck (Austria) in 1996. Postgraduate study of Social medicine and organization of health care system finished at Medical Faculty University of Sarajevo in 1978. He pasted specialists exam from the same area in 1982. His master thesis was "Evaluation of information system of family health" and PhD thesis "Evaluation of computerized information system in primary health care", both earned from Medical Faculty University of Sarajevo in 1985 and 1990.
