He is an anesthesiologist, graduated and specialized in the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). He also holds a specialization in intensive medicine from the Association of Brazilian Intensive Medicine. He holds a PhD in Sciences from the Graduate Program in Clinical and Experimental Pathophysiology of UERJ (FISCLINEX - CAPES 7). Currently Associate Researcher at FIOCRUZ Cardiovascular Research Laboratory, where he is a permanent lecturer at the Postgraduate Program in Cellular and Molecular Biology (BCM - CAPES 7) and coordinator of the Applied Pharmacology discipline. Member of the Human Research Ethics Committee of CEP IOC / FIOCRUZ and AD HOC rapporteur of the National Commission for Research Ethics (CONEP). Scholarship for the Young Scientist of Our State program at FAPERJ, has experience in anesthesiology with emphasis on cardiovascular, hepatic and thoracic surgery. The main lines of research are in the areas of cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology, working mainly in the following subjects: Anesthesiology and anesthetic pharmacology with emphasis on neuroprotection and cardioprotection, antihypertensive, pulmonary ventilation, physical exercise and natural products.
