Biography

Professor of Universities University Paris Diderot - Institute of Physics of the Globe of Paris University Institute of France (until 2012) IPGP, Cosmochemistry, Astrophysics and Experimental Geophysics (CAGE) I am a professor of the universities, a specialist in geochemistry. My research focuses on the formation and evolution of the Earth, especially its atmosphere. The main tool I use is the measurement of the abundances and isotopic ratios of rare gases, the elements of the last column of the Mendeleev table. This measurement requires the use of mass spectrometers particularly suitable for the analysis of rare gases. My courses cover cosmochemistry, earth mantle geochemistry, volcanology, Earth science measurement techniques and geochemical modeling.
