Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Santa Úrsula University (1994), a Master's degree in Parasitary Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (1999) and a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (2003). Currently Associate Researcher - FIOCRUZ. He has experience in cellular biology, working mainly in the following subjects: i) experimental models in vitro and in vivo for studies of the pathogenesis of Chagas' disease including cardiac fibrosis and vasculopathy; ii) 3D cell culture models for studies of vasculogenesis, angiogenesis and fibrosis in vitro.
