József Prechl (PhD) is Director of Research and Development. He graduated as a general practitioner in 1993 at Semmelweis University, and then obtained his PhD in Biology in 2003 at Eötvös Loránd University. He worked on the EU sponsored project "Genetically engineered vaccines" in Utrecht (Netherlands) in 1996-1997. He has been working at the Immunology Research Group of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, located at ELTE since 1997. Before joining Diagnosticum, he worked at the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of Wisconsin-Madison as visiting scientist in several occasions. At Diagnosticum his research group has developed protein arrays for characterization of immune response, especially for the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases.
