He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (1996), a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (1998) and a PhD in Parasitary Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2003). He is currently an associate researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. Permanent Professor and member of the Post-Graduation Commissions of the Stricto sensu Courses in Cellular and Molecular Biology / IOC (CAPES 7) and Lato-sensu in Education in Biosciences and Health / IOC, both of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. He has experience in Immunology, with emphasis on Chagas disease, oral infection, apoptosis, T lymphocytes, lymphoid organs, regional immune response, lymphocyte activation and cell migration
