Susan J. Appel has completed her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and postdoctoral studies from Georgetown University and the NINR NIH. She is a Professor in the Capstone College of Nursing at: The University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Having been a RN for 33 years, and a NP for 18 years, She also maintains a clinical practice as an Acute Care and Family Nurse Practitioner within a Hospitalist group.
