Biography

Hinda Zlotnik, Ph.D., is a program director in the Center for Research Capacity Building, where she oversees the Support of Competitive Research (SCORE) program and manages Institutional Development Award (IDeA) Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) grants. Prior to joining NIGMS, Zlotnik was director of the office of sponsored research and a professor in the department of microbiology and medical zoology at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She also served as an NIH extramural associate. Zlotnik earned an undergraduate degree from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico and a Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Temple University. She conducted postdoctoral research at Temple University and the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases.
