Ms Habib is a Research Associate at the Sustainable Cycles (SCYCLE) Programme. She is mainly working on the Prospecting Secondary raw materials in the urban mine and mining wastes (ProSUM) project by creating data inventory of historic and current in-use stocks of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), primarily in Europe. Her research interest includes mapping the stocks and flows of electronic products embedded with Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) and its modelling in the urban mine. She assisted research in WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) market analyses in a number of country studies such as The Netherlands, Ireland and Romania. Her other activities include strengthening the data compilation and analysis, and validating data to improve the UNU WEEE database. Ms Habib received a Joint European Master’s in Environmental Studies (JEMES) from Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH), Germany and Aalborg University, Denmark. Besides, she worked as a student research assistant at the Institute of Environmental Technology and Energy Economics at the Hamburg University of Technology, Germany.
