Biography

He holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences - University of the Republic (1997, Montevideo-Uruguay), Master's Degree in Biological Sciences - Molecular Biology - University of the Republic (1999, Montevideo-Uruguay) and PhD in Biological Sciences - Molecular Biology - Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2003, Madrid-Spain). From July 2004 until March 2011 he worked as a Visiting Researcher at the AIDS and Molecular Immunology Lab of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute. From April 2011 until November of the same year he worked as Adjunct Professor at UFRJ. Since November 2011 he holds the position of Researcher in Public Health in the Laboratory of AIDS and Molecular Immunology of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute. He has experience in the area of ​​Virology and Molecular Biology, working mainly on the following topics: intra-host and population evolution of HIV
