Biography

Graduated in Pharmacy (Industrial Qualification) from Fluminense Federal University (2002) and PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2005). Post-Doctorate in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Oswaldo Cruz Institute, FIOCRUZ (2006). Postdoctoral studies at the Department of Molecular Biosciences, University of Kansas (2008). He is currently Titular Researcher and Head of the Laboratory of Experimental and Computational Biochemistry of Drugs of the IOC / FIOCRUZ. He has experience in the field of Biochemistry, with emphasis in Structure and Chemistry of Proteins, working mainly in the following subjects: Molecular Modeling, Drawing of Pharmaceuticals, Tests of High Flow (HTS) and Structural Molecular Biology. He was the coordinator of the postgraduate program in Computational Biology and Systems of the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz / FIOCRUZ from June 2010 to November 2013. He is a permanent lecturer in the postgraduate program in Cellular and Molecular Biology (concept 7 of CAPES) of Oswaldo Cruz Institute, FIOCRUZ. Member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology - AB3C (2012-2014). Ordinary member of the Brazilian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Effective member of the Brazilian Chemical Society. He is a Fellow of the Young Scientist Program of Our State (FAPERJ) since 2009
