Biography

He holds a medical degree from the Federal Medical Sciences Foundation of Porto Alegre (1985), a master's degree in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1994) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Genetics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1999). He is currently an assistant researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Institute, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, and an associate professor at the Department of Genetics and Molecular Biology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. He has experience and works in the following areas: medical genetics, hereditary cancer, genetic counseling, dysmorphology, pediatric solid tumors genetics, clinical cytogenetics, neurogenetics.
