Dr. Enrique García Hernández is working as a Researcher in the Department of Biomacromolecules in National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico. He has completed his Ph. D. Chemical Sciences, Metropolitan University – Iztapalapa, MSc. Experimental Biology, Metropolitan University – Iztapalapa and BSc. Biology, from National Autonomous University of Mexico. he honored with Gabino Barreda Medal (for undergraduate studies) (UNAM), University merit award for Master Studies, University merit award for Ph.D. Studies, Member of the National System of Research. Level 1.
Dr. Enrique García Hernández focused on Molecular basis of the function of proteins. Protein folding and the formation of complexes with other biomolecules (protein, lipid, carbohydrate, nucleotide) are studied through calorimetric (DSC, ITC), spectroscopic (DC, DLS fluorescence), and computational techniques. By means of the energetic-structural models that we have obtained, he implement proteins engineering through the rational modification of the active site.
