Emiliya Kalamiyets has completed her PhD in Microbiology in 1980 and Doctor of Biological Sciences thesis in 1999. She is General Director of Research and Production Association “Chemical Synthesis and Biotechnology”, Director of the Institute of Microbiology, Belarus National Academy of Sciences, Chairman of Belarussian Non-governmental Association of Microbiologists. She is a recognized expert in the field of Microbial Synthesis. Major trends of her research are genesis of biologically active compounds showing antimicrobial and entomopathogenic action, elaboration of biotechnologies for plant protection.
