Biography

(1980), medical residency in Anesthesiology, Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1982), master's degree in Diplôme D'études Approfondies (Area Pharmacology) - Université Louis Pasteur (1987) and Doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology - Université Louis Pasteur, Strasbourg, France (1990). He is currently Researcher at Oswaldo Cruz / Fiocruz Institute and Coordinator of the Integrated Nucleus of Cardiovascular Research of the National Institute of Cardiology, Rio de Janeiro. He has experience in experimental and clinical pharmacology, working mainly in the following subjects: cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology, natural products pharmacology, Microvascular reactivity in cardiometabolic diseases (hypertension and diabetes). Scholarship of our State by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (FAPERJ).

Research Intrest

clinical pharmacology, working mainly in the following subjects: cardiovascular physiology and pharmacology, natural products pharmacology, Microvascular reactivity in cardiometabolic diseases (hypertension and diabetes).
