Energy homeostasis is the balance between energy input and expenditure. Our health is intricately regulated by energy homeostasis and any imbalance in it may result in metabolic diseases including diabetes and cancer. The focus of our research is understanding the molecular basis of energy homeostasis and their modulation in diseases like diabetes, cancer skeletal muscle atrophy and osteoporosis.
