Jara completed her Ph.D. in 2007. She has worked in several research centers and universities in Spain and France focused on the study of food bioactive compounds, in particular, polyphenols, using a multidisciplinary approach. These research activities have given place to more than 45 papers in international scientific journals (>1,600 citations, h-index: 21), as well as to more than 50 works presented in scientific meetings and invited conferences in different universities. She is a member of the Editorial Board of Food Research International, as well as Academic Editor of PeerJ. Jara completed her Ph.D. in 2007.
