Biography

Dr. José Manuel Lara Ochoa has completed his PhD in Chemical Sciences (Physical Chemistry), School of Chemistry, UNAM. Posdoctoral studies in Non-lineal Mathematics under the supervision of Ilia Prigogine (Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1977) at Université Libre de Bruxelles and with J.D. Murray at the Institute of Mathematics, Oxford University. Dr. Lara has published more than 60 articles in indexed journals, several articles in books, two books and several non-indexed articles. In 1997 Dr. Lara was awarded the Maximino Martínez prize by the Health Ministry. He is consultant for Pharmaceutical Industry. Nowadays, he is fully researcher in the department of organic chemistry in the National Autonomous University of Mexico, Mexico.

Research Intrest

Dr. José Manuel Lara Ochoa focused on Physical chemical characterization of compounds with pharmacological activity, Modification of their physical chemical properties to improve its absorption,cocrystals, polymorphous, amorphization, solid solutions, et, Design and synthesis of new drugs, characterization and design through quantic mechanic calculations of active principles.
