Biography

Dr. Yuste received his Bachelor degree in Chemistry from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México in 1971. His Master degree (1974) and PhD in Organic Chemistry (1982), were obtained in the same institution. During his sabbatical leaves he held a position in Syntex Laboratories (1983-1984) and has been Visiting Research at the Organic Chemistry Department in the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (1991-1992, 2001-2002 and 2012). His academic research has originated the publication of more than 70 articles in prestigious international journals. These articles have obtained around 700 citations. Since 1990 Dr. Yuste holds a Full Researcher position at UNAM and is member of the National Research System, level III.

Research Intrest

Dr. Yuste focused on Organic synthesis. Natural product synthesis. Organic chemistry of sulfur. Asymmetric synthesis employing 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition, Diels-Alder, Pummerer and nucleophilic addition reactions.
