Biography

"Ms. Kessler’s research focus is in coordination of studies that include NYBC donors as well as facilitator of certain lab and operations efforts to execute requests for outside investigators. She works with the NYBC Clinical Trials Office in coordinating and managing many research projects, including budgeting, contracting, operational facilitation for study execution, tracking, documenting and billing. Her direct research involvement has included REDS laboratory and donor survey studies;follow up studies of donors tested using blood screening assays under IND; a national study interviewing donors about risk who have viral markers; enrolling routine donors in a cardiovascular disease risk screening study; recruiting and enrolling platelet donors for an iron study; analyzing data on return of donors who have been deferred for various reasons and investigating behavioral theories related to donor motivation to donate."
