Biography

He holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1996), a Masters in Parasitary Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2000), a PhD in Parasitary Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (2003) and a postdoctoral degree from the University of Paris Descartes, Paris-France (2004-2008). He is currently a public health researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation. He has experience in Immunology, with emphasis in Cellular Immunology, working mainly on the following topics: cellular migration, neuroimmunoendocrinology, neuropilins, semaphorins, sphingosine-1-phosphate, extracellular matrix, chemokines, thymus.
