Dan is a hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey at the Oregon Water Science Center in Portland, Oregon. He received a B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Drexel University in 1990, an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Rhode Island in 1993, and an M.S. in Geography from Oregon State University in 2001. He has been with the USGS since 2001. Dan works primarily for the National Water-Quality Assessment Program in the interpretation of regional water quality data. His current research focuses on relating surface-water nutrient conditions to landscape characteristics using the USGS SPARROW model (Spatially Referenced Regressions on Watershed Attributes).
