Biography

"Christiana Papoutsa is a Research Associate and member of the research team of Professor Diofantos Hadjimitsis at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics. She is currently a PhD candidate in water quality monitoring over surface water bodies (inland & coastal) using field spectroscopy and remote sensing techniques. She received her BSc in Chemistry and she continued her studies in the field of “Environmental Chemistry and Technology” both from the Department of Chemistry, from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Greece. After the completion of her MSc Degree she was employed by the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) where she still working at the position of Research Fellow at the Department of Civil Engineering and Geomatics. She has significant experience on using Remote Sensing and GIS for environmental applications and has participated in many research programs such as: SatCoast, LIFE, DRAGON 3, ECOLANES, MEDNET, INTERREG. "

Research Intrest
