Christian Schweizer is currently the HR Manager of IBM Research – Zurich and the Global Research Labs in Africa, Australia, Brazil, China, India & Japan. He was appointed to this position on October 2015. Christian began his IBM career in September 2000 as an engineer designing electronic circuits for micro-processors. In this capacity he contributed two patents to IBM's intellectual property. Soon after, he became the department manager and led a team of 25 circuit designers. In 2005, he took over the project management responsibility for the development of an IBM Blade Server, which became the heart of a supercomputer. This system was ranked as the most powerful computer in the highly renowned TOP500 list.
