Biography

Senior Research Scientist, Department of Soil Geography and Evolution 2001 — PhD (Candidate of Sciences) 1995 — Graduated as certified specialist, soil science, soil geography, Moscow State University PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP 1999 — present: Dokuchaev Soil Science Society membership INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE 1996-1997 — guest researcher in the Institute of Earth Sciences, Uppsala University, Sweden: training and practical work in pollen analysis.

Research Intrest

Pedogenesis, paleopedology, soil morphology and micromorphology with special interest in layered pedofeatures as a source of soil memory (textural pedofeatures, carbonate pendants), soils in time and space, soil as a memory (archive) of environmental change, multiproxy records of environmental change, pedoarchaeology, geoarchaeology, soils of ultracontinental regions.
