Biography

Baldomero Esquivel Rodríguez made his bachelor’s studies min Pharmaceutical Chemist Biologist and graduate studies in Organic Chemistry at the School of Chemistry, UNAM. He was Visiting Researcher at the University College, Wales University (United Kingdom) and at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Purdue, Indiana (United States of America). He joined the Institute of Chemistry in 1986 and at present he is Full Researcher, Academic Coordinator of the Informatics Unit and Head of the Technical Office.

Research Intrest

Baldomero Esquivel Rodríguez focused on Isolation and structural elucidation of natural products from Mexican plants belonging to Labiatae, Burseraceae and Verbenacea families, with chemosystematic and evolutive importance, Natural products with potential activity as antifeedant, insecticide, antitumoral, aintiinflammatory, antioxidant and anti-diarrheic (antisecretorial), obtained from plants, Ecological chemistry. Volatile emissions from plants and their importance in atmospheric chemistry.
